Christmas Book report

Christmas Book report
This month we read a Christmas book in our reading level and created present accordion book reports. We had to use the story elements and tell the setting, characters, problem and solution. We had so much fun placing these presents under our tree. -2lc foodies

Nativity Pictures

Nativity Pictures
We learned about Jesus and his birth. After we read stories about his special day we created our own nativity scenes. We used a pop out paper bag for the stable and colored pictures of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. -2LC foodies

Santa's elves

Santa's elves
We made ourselves into Santa's Elves! We were able to dress ourselves into our favorite elf outfit and then add ourselves carrying the present we would make if we were an elf toy maker.

Advent Angels

Advent Angels
The second graders, along with their fifth grade buddies, worked around the house doing good deeds and earning money to help support the Advent Angel Program at church. We raised $487.00 and bought toys for the poor. Here is our fun collection jar! -2LC foodies

Multiplication Ornaments

Multiplication Ornaments
We created Christmas light pictures to celebrate the holiday season. Then, we learned the multiplication facts of 0,1 and 2 and wrote these problems in the bulbs. We then hung them on our Math Math-ter-piece board. -2lc foodies

QR code addition

QR code addition
We were able to practice our double and triple digit addition skills with and without regrouping. First, we solved the addition problems on our own and then we scanned the qr code to see if we were correct. We had so much fun scanning the problems to see if we got it correct!

Santa Writing

Santa Writing

We used our excellent writing skills and created stories about what we think Santa Claus does the day after Christmas is over. Many of us thought he took a vacation, relaxed at home with Mrs. Claus and also went right back to work making toys. Here are some of our Santa pictures that went with our stories. -2LC foodies
